Feeding Consults (Birth-3 years of age)

Feeding shouldn’t be stressful. We provide integrated, evidence-based support to help infants and children develop safe, functional, and positive feeding skills while supporting families in reaching their feeding goals.

We can help with:

  • Breastfeeding and latch difficulties, including ongoing challenges

  • Low milk supply, oversupply, or painful feeds

  • Pumping, bottle feeding, and bottle refusal/feeding aversion

  • Feeding challenges related to tongue/lip ties (pre- and post-revision)

  • Swallowing difficulties (dysphagia) and pediatric feeding disorders (PFDs)

  • Coughing, choking, or gagging during feeds

  • Acid reflux/GERD management strategies relating to feeding and swallowing

  • Oral-motor and sensory-based feeding delays

  • Solids aversion, picky/problem feeding, and weaning support

  • Return-to-work transitions

  • Medically complex feeding needs (e.g., tube weaning, laryngomalacia, cleft lip/palate, Down syndrome, and other conditions requiring multidisciplinary care)

Feeding Therapy Services

Feeding therapy is recommended when the Initial Feeding Consult identifies ongoing needs that require structured, therapeutic support. We help babies and toddlers develop safe, functional, and efficient feeding skills—all in a supportive, stress-free manner that honors each child’s unique needs.

We specialize in:

  • Swallowing difficulties (dysphagia)

  • Pediatric feeding disorders (PFDs)

  • Latch difficulties/painful nursing

  • Weight gain concerns

  • Bottle refusal and solids aversion

  • Picky eating and problem feeding

  • Feeding challenges related to tongue/lip ties (pre- and post-revision)

  • Oral-motor and sensory-based feeding delays

  • Medically complex feeding needs (e.g., tube-weaning, laryngomalacia, cleft lip/palate, failure to thrive, Down syndrome, and other conditions requiring multidisciplinary support)

Prenatal Breastfeeding Education & Counseling

Preparing for feeding begins before your baby arrives. Prenatal breastfeeding education provides families with the knowledge, confidence, and strategies to start their feeding journey on the right foot. Sessions are personalized to your unique needs and questions, so you feel prepared and supported from day one.

We cover topics such as:

  • What to expect in the first hours and days after birth

  • Understanding newborn feeding cues and hunger patterns

  • Positioning and latch techniques

  • How to establish and maintain a healthy milk supply

  • Hand expression and pumping basics (if desired)

  • Planning for return-to-work or school

  • Creating a realistic feeding plan that supports your family’s goals

You’ll leave with practical tools, evidence-based guidance, and confidence for your feeding journey, plus continued support after your baby arrives.
